The Nepalese king arrived Monday in Haikou, capital of Hainan Province, for a seven-day state visit to China at the invitation of Chinese President Jiang Zemin.

The king attended the founding ceremony of the Boao Forum for Asia Tuesday at Boao, a small town some 160 kilometers south of Haikou.

During his stay in Beijing, Chinese President Jiang Zemin, top legislator Li Peng, Premier Zhu Rongji and vice-president Hu Jintao met with him respectively.
