Senior Chinese official meets Peruvian parliament leader on ties

LIMA, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- A senior official of China's top political advisory body discussed bilateral ties with a Peruvian parliament leader here Friday.

Zhang Meiying, vice chairwoman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), exchanged views with Jose Luna Galvez, vice president of the Peruvian National Congress, on issues of common concern.

Zhang also attended a lecture on Chinese culture held at the Ricardo Palma University in the Peruvian capital.

Zhang is heading a CPPCC National Committee delegation on a trip to Brazil, Peru and Venezuela.
