SEVEN people died and 11 others were injured in a highway collision yesterday afternoon in Yantai, Shandong Province, local officials said today.
A bus crashed with a truck on Highway 204 around 5pm yesterday. The bus was carrying more than 20 people, within its load capacity, the officials said.
The victims were rushed to the hospital and seven were pronounced dead there. All the injured are hospitalized and in stable condition.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation. Local police said drivers tend to speed on this stretch of highway due to good driving conditions, thus more prone to accidents.
