Some ski resorts near Beijing are ready to open from the end of this week, although others have warned it is still too warm to produce artificial snow.
Most slopes are likely to open in one or two weeks for winter sports enthusiasts.
Wang Xinzi, from Huaibei International Ski Resort, said the slopes will be open Friday.
"We're opening a new snow park inside the resort this year for snowboarding," said Wang.
Yuyang Ski Resort will be open from December 1, Han Xueli, director of Yuyang said, and the resort will be offering services in Korean and English.
Both resorts will be using stored recycled water to ensure the quality of snow.
