JINAN, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- Jiang Daming was re-elected governor of east China's Shandong Province at the first session of the 12th Shandong Provincial People's Congress, the local legislative body.
Jiang, born in March 1953, is a native of Rongcheng, Shandong. He joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in November 1976.
He graduated from the Philosophy Department of the Heilongjiang University and began working at the Central Committee of Communist Youth League of China in 1982.
He was appointed vice and acting governor of Shandong by the Standing Committee of the Shandong Provincial People's Congress in June 2007 and first elected governor of Shandong in January 2008.
He is a member of the 18th CPC Central Committee.
At the same session, Jiang Yikang, secretary of Shandong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, was elected chairman of the Standing Committee of Shandong Provincial People's Congress.
