BEIJING, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- The following is the biographical sketch of Han Zheng:
Han Zheng, born in April 1954, is a male ethnic Han from Cixi, Zhejiang Province. He entered the workforce in December 1975 and joined the CPC in May 1979. He graduated from Institute of International Studies at East China Normal University with a major in international relations and world economy, received a postgraduate education while in service, and was awarded the degree of Master of Economics. He is a senior economist.
He is currently a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, deputy secretary of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, and mayor of Shanghai.
