Hong Kong stocks close 0.28 pct lower

HONG KONG, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong shares ended lower on Tuesday, with the weighted index falling 61.97 points, or 0.28 percent, at 21,944.43, as heavyweights like HSBC lost.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 21,832.28 and 22,008.86. Turnover totaled 54.95 billion HK dollars (about 7.09 billion U.S. dollars).

The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index fell 33.86 points, or 0.31 percent, to close at 10,734.42.

Four sub-indices ended mixed. The Finance sub-index lost 0.65 percent and the Properties fell 0.11 percent. The Commerce & Industry sub-index went down 0.26 point slightly, while the Utilities rose 0.69 percent.
