Winning ticket for 590-mln-dollar Powerball jackpot sold in Florida

WASHINGTON, May 18 (Xinhua) -- A winning ticket has been sold in Florida for a record Powerball jackpot of 590.5 million U.S. dollars, lottery officials said late Saturday.

The winning ticket was sold at a supermarket in Zephyrhills, Florida. No further details on the lone winner was available. The numbers drawn Saturday were: 10, 13, 14, 22 and 52 with a Powerball number of 11.

The chances of winning were put at 1 in 175.2 million.

The largest jackpot in U.S. history stands at 656 million dollars won in the Mega Millions lottery in March 2012.
