2. Transformation of state-owned cultural enterprises finished
In order to enhance cultural system reform and boost socialist cultural development and prosperity, the government finished transformation of state-owned cultural units.
Until now, the country's more than 580 publishing houses, 3000 Xinhua Bookstores, 850 film production units, 57 TV production organizations, which belong to the Radio and TV system, and 38 party newspapers and magazines have been transformed completely. A new system of entertainment was basically formed.
