She noted that nearly 40,000 individuals and entities donated through the RCSC headquarters in that period, a relatively high number.
Donations to the RCSC dropped 59.39 percent in 2011, according to an annual report on public donations published earlier this year by the China Charity Information Center.
The report says the RCSC received about 2.87 billion yuan in 2011, accounting for 3.4 percent of total public donations that year.
Many experts attributed the drop to scandals involving the RCSC that greatly damaged the organization's credibility.
Zhao also briefed the conference on the organization's efforts toward greater transparency, which include contracting five leading accounting firms to audit its operations over a three-year period.
A new management network for charity projects is also being developed and is expected to go online by the end of 2013, Zhao added.
Moreover, she dismissed allegations that the RCSC purchased dozens of villas in northern Beijing, pledging to conduct further investigations.
