

An unusual pillar-like thunderstorm that seemed to connect heaven and earth dazzled folks in Longyan City, east China’s Fujian province, late in the afternoon of July 21, according to CCTV news.
The spectacular sight was actually a thundershower caused by a strong convection of rising moist air. The video was shared online and has attracted various comments from netizens. Some even made fun of it, comparing it to adding spices while cooking.
