SCO investment business forum held in Kyrgyzstan
BISHKEK, June 25 (Xinhua) -- The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Investment Business Forum opened on Wednesday to explore ways to enhance economic and trade cooperation.
Speaking at the event, Daniyar Amangeldiev, first deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, said that SCO countries possess vast human capital, abundant natural resources, a strong agricultural and industrial basis, and enormous potential for further growth.
He emphasized the need to pay special attention to developing human capital, supporting youth entrepreneurship, and training a new generation of specialists capable of working in the digital economy and an increasingly competitive global environment.
Ravshanbek Sabirov, head of the National Investment Agency under the presidency, said that SCO countries have huge opportunities for joint investment initiatives, adding that Kyrgyzstan will create an effective platform for direct dialogue between government and businesses, ensure favorable conditions for investors and promote regional cooperation.
During the two-day event, participants will discuss the digital economy and the green transition.
