Two Japanese nationals detained for violating Chinese laws: Chinese foreign ministry

BEIJING, June 24 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson on Wednesday confirmed that two Japanese nationals have been detained by competent Chinese authorities for violating Chinese laws, adding that China has informed the Japanese side of the case.
Spokesperson Guo Jiakun made the remarks at a daily press briefing in response to a relevant question.
Guo stressed that the Japanese side should remind its nationals and businesses in China to abide by China's laws and regulations.
