2022 International Copyright Forum opens in China
NANCHANG, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- The 2022 International Copyright Forum opened Thursday in Jingdezhen in east China's Jiangxi Province.
Zhang Jianchun, vice head of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said in a speech that the country will constantly improve its system and capacity for copyright governance.
Zhang also said that the National Copyright Administration of China (NCAC) is willing to enhance exchange and cooperation with other countries and regions to inspire cultural creativity using copyright.
Sylvie Forbin, deputy director general of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), said in a video speech that the WIPO will continue to work with China to help the creative industry thrive in the country.
Several projects for copyright protection were launched at the opening ceremony, with related exhibitions opened on the day.
The forum was co-hosted by the NCAC and the WIPO.
