The Keshen Gas Field of the PetroChina Tarim Oilfield Company has entered a stage of comprehensive development, and new gas sources have been added to the West-East Gas Pipeline Project.
Two wells in the Keshen 13 Gas Field located at the southern foot of the Tianshan Mountains in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region have achieved high levels of gas production, with an increase of 1 million cubic meters of natural gas per day.
The new development indicates that new gas sources have been added to the West-East Gas Pipeline Project.
The Keshen 13 Gas Field is located in Baicheng County, Xinjiang; the oil pressures of the two wells, Keshen 132-2 and Keshen 132-3, which have just undergone drilling, are both over 104 MPa, said Song zhoucheng, manager of the production and construction department at the Tarim Oilfield Company.
"During epidemic prevention and control measures, the oil field will not be shut down and production will not be suspended. We will try to make up for the losses caused by epidemic prevention and control during the first half of this year," said Zhu Shuiqiao, deputy general manager of Tarim Oilfield Company.
The daily output of crude oil in the Tarim Oilfield has reached more than 17,000 tons, and the daily output of natural gas has reached 89 million cubic meters.
