Using mobile phones for long durations is harmful for skin

Nowadays, the first thing people do when they wake up in the morning is check their mobile phones. The last thing people will do before they go to sleep is also check their phones. Furthermore while people are working, walking and waiting for subways, they will never forget to check their phones. This is the true picture of modern people in the modern society.

In fact, staying up late to watch mobile phones will not only injure eyes, hands, and cervical lumbar vertebra, it will also bring serious damage to the skin.

Zhu Mingfang, a dermatologist from Hunan provincial hospital of traditional Chinese medicine, said that there is scientific evidence that screen radiation damages the skin. According to a research report, the radiation absorbed by staring at a screen for a long time can cause harm to the human body systems and organs. As the first barrier of the human body, skin is the first target organ of electromagnetic radiation.

What kind of damage will be brought to the skin by staying up late to play on mobile phones?

Maintaining a single posture for a long time while staring at the mobile phone will cause poor blood circulation in the long-term and it will indirectly affect the skin causing problems such as skin darkening, yellowing as well as loss of luster. Li Xiaosha, a dermatologist of the hospital, explained that according to traditional Chinese medicine, by using eyes for a long time, we will also harm the liver, and poor blood flow cannot help to nourish the skin, causing yellowish tone of the skin.

What’s more, playing on mobile phones for a long time with your head lowered will increase the pressure on your neck and put extra pressure on your chin, which will lead to skin sagging and neck wrinkles.

How to prevent radiation, and protect skin effectively?

“The first thing people need to do is to have strict facial cleaning,” said Zhang Qizhi, a dermatologist of the hospital. Zhang said that normally people only need to clean their face more often if they use their phone more.

Using water or gentle cleanser they should clean face thoroughly and wash the grime that electrostatic lets the body adsorb. Then, they should apply skin care products to prevent the dehydration phenomenon that screen radiate brings, and restrain melanin production at the same time.

For those who have dry skin caused by the frequent use of phones, their skin problem can be improved by supplementing nutrition in daily life and using anti-radiation cream.

After staring at the screen for a long time, people need to relax and do a facial massage to promote blood circulation and make the metabolism and circulation of the skin maintain normal levels.
