Significant progress has been made in China's initiative to provide express services to rural areas. To date, express delivery outlets have been established in more than 30,000 towns and townships, with a coverage rate of 95 percent.

According to sources from the State Post Bureau of China, 26 provinces have achieved full coverage of express delivery service in towns and townships, including Guizhou in southwest China. Furthermore, Xinjiang in northwest China has increased express service coverage by over 30 percent this year.

Since 2016, China has spent a total of 3.6 billion yuan on improving express services. Specifically, 4,245 postal outlets have been reconstructed, and 10,760 new postal and delivery vehicles have been renovated or replenished.

Up to now, delivery services are available in 550,000 villages. Statistics show that during the first three quarters of this year, 823 impoverished counties (433 now out of poverty and 390 still in poverty) received and delivered more than 3.9 billion parcels.
