The World Bank has confirmed that it will rank China among the top 20 economies in terms of business environment improvement in its doing business report 2020, which is to be released on Oct. 24, according to China Economic Net.
This year, China has carried out eight types of reforms to improve the business environment, compared with seven last year, according to the World Bank.
The World Bank's overall score for ease of doing business comes from a 10- aspect assessment. A country has to have carried out at least three aspects of reforms so as to be among the top-20 list; whereas the World Bank estimates that China has improved substantially in eight aspects.
China leaped from the 78th to the 46th place in the World Bank's ease of doing business report 2019 released in 2018, demonstrating that it had made dramatic improvements to its business environment.
