(People's Daily Online)    09:06, September 16, 2019

“Beyond The Headlines -The Real Story of Australia-China Trade” examines the intricacies of the China-Australia trade partnership through the lens of culture, relationships, and the geo-historical context, in order to shed light on stereotypes and misnomers and in doing so uncovers the next wave of opportunity and the new frontiers of engagement. As a 6 part TV series, each episode will discuss the question from different perspectives, but they will all present pathways for investors and cross-border trade. What's more, every episode will reveal the essence of China-Australia trade——relationships and the people themselves.

In this episode “A Question of Experience”, the story discussed the new opportunities and challenges in the Australian inbound tourism industry, with the growing number of Chinese tourists. Every year, 1.4 million Chinese tourists spent more than 11 billion dollars in Australia.

Through partnerships with Chow Tai Fook and Far East Consortium International Limited, the Star Entertainment Group not only provides excellent accommodation experience for Chinese guests but also promotes local infrastructure development in Australia. While domestic consumers are increasingly moving the high-end market, the Australian high-quality wine industry has become another bright spot for Chinese tourists. Meanwhile, Australia enterprises have established close partnerships with Chinese companies and developed the business worth more than $1 billion. In the future, an important direction for the development of Australian tourism is cooperating with Chinese enterprises to develop real Australian experience and rich personalized choices.
