Beyond The Headlines -The Real Story of Australia-China Trade is a business series produced by People’s Daily Online Australia, RR Media in association with Horizon Films. The series broadcast on Skynew Extra in Australia and People’s Daily Online platforms.

It examines the intricacies of the China-Australia trade partnership through the lens of culture, relationships, and the geo-historical context, in order to shed light on stereotypes and misnomers and in doing so uncovers the next wave of opportunity and the new frontiers of engagement. As a 6 part TV series, each episode will discuss the question from different perspectives, but they will all present pathways for investors and cross-border trade. What's more, every episode will reveal the essence of China-Australia trade——relationships and the people themselves.

The first episode is called A Question of Trust. It mainly tells the audience the significance of trust during the China-Australia trade. Being Australia's largest trading partner by far, China is of great importance towards Australia's rapidly developing economy. However, what the video tries to emphasize is not only the relationship which built up in government to government contact but also the business to business, business to consumers and people to people relationship. This episode takes the partnership between China's Gou Bu Li company and Australia’s Blooms Bluesky Holding as an example, as well as how Australian milk powder companies open up their markets in China as an example to show the audience how companies to find a trusted cross-border business partner and to win consumers’ hearts.
