Wang Shujian, executive vice governor of Shandong province, addressed the Summit, saying that Binzhou was the first to propose the goal of building a global high-end aluminum base, and played a leading and demonstrating role in replacing the old drivers of growth with new ones and driving high-quality development.

Ma Jiantang, deputy director of the Development Research Center of the State Council, also attended the Summit, and expressed his hope that the Binzhou aluminum industry could extend its industry chain and value chain and create more innovations through the construction of a modern industrial base.

Ma believes that the vision of building Binzhou into China’s aluminum city and the world’s “aluminum valley” will certainly become a reality

Now Binzhou’s aluminum industry is facing a period of strategic opportunity for the transformation of old and new driving forces, said She Chunming, Secretary of the Binzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China.

He added that the city plans to spend the next three to five years to elevate the value chain to a higher level.

The aluminum industry boasts a dominant industry in Shandong province. With more than a decade’s fast development, it has taken the lead in China as well as the whole world in terms of capacity, product categories, technical equipment and the industrial chain.
