The country’s top air conditioner manufacturer Haier held a groundbreaking ceremony for its industrial park at Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh, India, on March 29.
It is Haier’s second manufacturing base in India, and will become the company’s largest overseas factory.
AUX, another Chinese AC producer, established a research and development (R&D) center in Japan, which is the company’s first overseas R&D center.
“Our air conditioners have been sold to over 100 countries and regions, and we have ranked the first in China’s air conditioner exports for five consecutive years,” said Zheng Jianjiang, chairman of AUX Group, adding that the R&D center in Japan is a crucial step for the Group’s international strategy.
Reports confirm that AUX had five R&D centers and 10 manufacturing bases by the end of March 2019, and its total production capacity for air conditioners has now exceeded 28 million units.
