China’s exhibition economy remains steady in 2018: report

In 2018, the total revenue from China’s exhibition service market stood at 100 billion yuan, further contributing to the country’s economic and social development, according to a report recently released by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

According to the report, China saw steady growth in exhibitions both at home and abroad last year.

A total of 76 exhibition organizers held 718 expos in 33 countries along the Belt and Road route, accounting for 42.9 percent of the total number of participating exhibitions, an increase of 14.3 percent year on year.

The report also showed that the total area of exhibition halls in China reached a mammoth 9.83 million square meters in 2018.
