The sixth Conference of Chinese and African Entrepreneurs will push the development of China-Africa economic and trade cooperation to a higher level, Chen Zhou, Vice Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) said in a press conference on Friday.

Chen expressed that people of all circles are looking forward to speeches from Chinese President Xi Jinping and leaders of African countries during the conference, which are believed to chart the course for China-Africa economic cooperation, further strengthen the confidence and determination of Chinese and African business communities to carry out in-depth cooperation, and promote further development of China-Africa economic and trade cooperation.

The sixth Conference of Chinese and African Entrepreneurs will be held together with the High-level Dialogue between Chinese-African Leaders and Business Communities during the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, which will be held on September 3-4.

Discussions among delegates present at the conference will further enhance exchanges and cooperation between business communities of China and Africa, in areas such as industrialization, trade, and infrastructure, said Chen.

Positive signals regarding the promotion of great development of industrialization, the building of a larger market for trade and investment, and further connectivity of infrastructure between China and Africa are expected to be realized during the discussions, Chen said, adding that this will provide more references to the decision-making process concerning China-Africa common development and prosperity.

According to Chen, a series of supporting activities will also be held during the conference, which will serve as great platforms for both Chinese and African enterprises to obtain information, hunt for contracts and raise brand awareness.

CCPIT and business communities of various African countries have carried out extensive and in-depth communication via multiple channels and platforms on various issues of common interest including deepening China-Africa pragmatic cooperation in economy and trade, to build an even stronger community with a shared future, noted Chen.

Chen expressed that it is the common aspiration of both sides to work hand in hand to enable the China-Africa economic and trade cooperation to broaden, yield more substantial fruits, and have stronger influence so as to bring benefits to African people as well as the world.
