
The average salary of employees in non-private enterprises throughout China was 74,318 yuan ($ 11,669) last year, up 10 percent from the previous year, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on May 15.
In private sectors, employees in the IT industry earned 70,415 yuan, the highest annual salary. They were followed by earners in scientific research and technical service industries with an income of 58,102 yuan and those in the financial industry earning 52,289 yuan.
The average salary of employees in private sectors was 45,761 yuan, 6.8 percent more than the previous year.
Meng Canwen, chief statistician of NBS, said workers received higher salaries than before because the relation between demand and supply in these industries has seen improvement, which helped many enterprises enhance their profitability.
Salary of employees in the ecological protection and environmental governance industry grew by 14.6 percent, as the government increased funding for this industry.
