A play called The Dream of the Red Chamber, adapted from one of China’s four great classical novels, was staged at the Vietnam National Drama Theater for the first time on October 29.
The nearly-120-minute play, adapted by Singaporean director Chua Soo Pong, focuses on love and jealousy.
The Dream of the Red Chamber depicts in painstaking detail the life and social structures typical of 18th-century Chinese society.
