Jack Ma, the executive chairman of Alibaba Group, caused an instant sensation online by singing for the Computing Conference 2017 in east China’s Hangzhou.
In the evening of Oct. 11, Jack Ma showed up at the Xiami Music Festival dressed like a rock star. In cool jeans and with a pair of sunglasses, he sang four Chinese and English songs with Chinese poetic singer Li Jian.
This is the second time for the billionaire of a Chinese e-commerce giant to sing at the Computing Conference. Though he is not a professional singer, his performance was cheerfully applauded by the audience.
If you can sing, people may not be happy. But when you can’t sing, people must be happy. That’s how Gao Xiaosong, President of AliMusic, roasted nervous Jack Ma before the music festival.
Actually I sing better in the restroom, said Ma. He also plans to sing for the next conference, that is, if he satisfies with his stage performance this year.
