

The People's Daily Online Media Integration Event was officially launched to provide all-around multi-dimensional media coverage of Dangshan County in east China's Anhui province, on Sep 15, 2017, at the same time of the Pear Picking Festival in the county.

Dangshan County, with a total forest coverage of more than 70 percent and annual fruit harvest of 1.7 million tons, has a world famous orchard growing an enormous field of Dangshan Crisp Pears and Yellow Peaches. Half of China's top 10 vegetable and fruit manufactures are located in the region.
With 21 e-commerce platforms, 344 e-commerce companies, and more than 15,000 online shops, Dangshan County is a national level comprehensive demonstration county of e-commerce in rural areas. Almost all business owners in the area embrace e-commerce. There are about four to five packaging centers per village that enable the nationwide delivery of local products including canned Dangshan Crisp Pears and Yellow Peaches.
