The picture of a young girl standing beside her mother who works in rain has touched many hearts.

On July 19, sanitation worker Wang Fang was cleaning the road when suddenly a strong rainfall hit her city, Chongqing in southwest China. Wang’s 10-year-old daughter, instead of taking shelter from the rain, remained by her.

To protect her from the rain, Wang borrowed two pieces of waterproof cloth from a nearby construction site and placed one on her daughter. The girl followed slowly behind as her mother continued her work.

The girl, who is on summer vacation, has often been seen working with her mother, a guard from a nearby residential community says.

Some net users say it is a matter of pride to keep the company of working parents, while others have called on people to assist the sanitation worker and her child to keep streets clean.
