American pop singer Ariana Grande has announced plans to return to Manchester to give a benefit concert after a suicide bombing claimed 22 lives at the U.K. arena where the singer had just concluded a performance.
The 23-year-old pop star announced via Twitter on May 26 (local time) that she would return to “the incredibly brave city of Manchester to spend time with my fans and to have a benefit concert in honor of and to raise money for the victims and their families.” She added that the victims and families would “be on my mind and in my heart everyday and I will think of them with everything I do for the rest of my life.”
“I extend my hand and heart and everything I possibly can give to you and yours, should you want or need my help in any way,” Grande wrote.

Grande has postponed her world tour after the shocking attack, which left dozens wounded in addition to the 22 dead. She flew back to Florida the same day and posted a short Twitter message: “broken. From the bottom of my heart, I am so so sorry. I don’t have words.”
Grande's new post, which has been retweeted 265,000 times, said that the attack will not change her original intention for the Dangerous Woman Tour, which was to make the show “a safe place for my fans. A place for them to escape, to celebrate, to heal, to feel safe and to be themselves. To meet their friends they’ve made online. To express themselves.”
“The only thing we can do now is choose how we let this affect us and how we live our lives from here on out,” Grande added.
