Recently, customs officials in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province and Shenzhen, Guangdong province uncovered more than 3,000 tons of carbon waste illegally imported from abroad. Four suspects have been arrested. It was the biggest quantity of “foreign garbage” found by Hangzhou customs this year, since the implementation of the National Sword 2017 campaign to crackdown on illegal waste imports.
