An important passenger line expected to connect the western part of China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region with major inland cities will open this July.
The Hohhot-Jungar-Erdos rail line spans 245 kilometers. It is not only the region’s most convenient west-east line, but is also expected to connect the western region with major cities such as Beijing and Tianjin via the Hohhot-Zhangjiakou and Beijing-Zhangjiakou Inter-city Express.
