Xiong Jun was diagnosed with polio when he was just 3 months old. Many years later, he has triumphed over the disease, never letting it hinder him from participating in 31 races around China since 2011. Xiong, originally from Chongqing, has set a personal goal of doing 100 marathons in his lifetime.

Xiong has run in several partial marathons in the past, including a 5K in 2011. He also ran a full race at the Beijing International Marathon Tournament in 2013.

Xiong suffers from cerebral palsy, which impacts both his internal and external health. He began to talk at the age of 5, and wasn't able to walk using his left leg until he turned 10. Xiong eventually decided to become more active, and began to practice hopping. He persisted even after breaking his arms and teeth a number of times.

In 2010, Xiong was eventually given the green light to run in a 5K in Wenzhou. Before obtaining permission, he spent three days begging the event organizers to let him compete. Xiong was in tears as he finished the race.

Now, after founding a publicity company and an agricultural products company, Xiong donates his time to various charitable activities, regularly calling on society to better support the disabled community.
