An intoxicated man in Thailand accidentally fell into a river and struggled. He couldn’t swim and cried for help. As the crowd formed, people took out cell phones and uploaded photos of the struggling man to Facebook with comments such as "How can he fall? Haha." When police arrived, the man was still in the middle of the water and was already dead.

The crowd was still taking photos and videoing with flashlights even when the police were investigating the dead body. The police had to warn the crowd: "Please stop photo shooting and respect the dead."

The police later commented that the crowd claimed that they could not swim so were only able to reach out to the police. However, they could have helped with the situation without jumping into the water, simply by pulling the man up with their hands.
