A low bridge with high cost: Pedestrians stoop to walk under in south China

A bridge for vehicles over the Yongjiang River, Nanning, S China’s Guangxi Province, is built so closed to the ground that all pedestrians have stoop to walk under it.

The bridge's bottom is merely 1.3m to 1.5m above the ground, yet there is not sign or warning about the height limit. Built in 2008, the bridge had a cost of 548 million RMB. (80 million in USD).
