A geochemical evaluation report on soil quality in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has indicated that 20.18 million mu (about 1.35 million hectares) of selenium-rich soil is present in 21 counties in Guangxi. Selenium is an indispensible element for both humans and animals. The study indicates that selenium plays a critical role in improving immunity, and it is also a popular cancer treatment.
