Liu Yunhua, a 19-year-old girl with cancer in Bazhong, Sichuan province, asked the public for help making her last wish comes true: she wants to donate her corneas when she dies, Youth.cn reported on Jan. 4.
Liu's right leg was amputated in 2015 due to osteocarcinoma. In recent months, her condition has worsened drastically, as the cancer spread to her lungs. Liu experienced a great deal of difficulty breathing, and her heart rate increased dramatically. When she began vomiting blood and fainting, Liu realized she didn't have much time left.
Liu wants to donate her corneas when she dies as a favor to society. Restricted to her bed and cut off from relevant application procedures, she asked the public for help with her last wish. She hopes someone can help her to contact a receiving unit for and complete the organ donation formalities.
