

A fish weighing more than 25 kilograms was sold for 850,000 RMB in an auction during the 15th Chagan Lake ice fishing festival in China's northeastern Jilin province. The biggest fish captured by the very first net at the event is called "first fish." With a starting price of 158,880 RMB, this year's first fish was ultimately auctioned off for a grand total 850,000 RMB, making it the most expensive fish of its kind in Chagan Lake.
Chagan Lake is one of the 10 largest freshwater lakes in China. According to the organizer of the event, various winter activities will also be available at the festival.
