Crimson clouds appeared at sunset on Nov. 26 after several rainy days in Guangdong province. That afternoon, snow started to melt and the clouds appeared over Jinzi Mountain in Lianshan County.

The crimson clouds and other meteorological phenomena are often visible around Jinzi Mountain, as this area is heavily influenced by monsoons and air pressure from further inland. The region's temperature and precipitation are also affected by the forests on the mountain.
