Chinese research vessel Xiang Yang Hong 10 set sail on Nov. 22 from Zhoushan, Zhejiang province, embarking on the country's 43rd ocean expedition. Slated to travel about 20,000 nautical miles in 220 days, the vessel will mainly carry out investigation on mineralization anomalies in the southwest Indian Ocean. In addition, it will explore polymetallic sulfide resources in the Carlsberger Ridge, located in the northwest Indian Ocean.
