Recently a 103-year-old woman named Li Yaying from Shidian County, Yunnan province attracted attention from the public thanks to her affinity for selfies. The fashionable pictures she took have taken the Internet by storm.

According to Luo Shaowei, Li's youngest son, the elderly woman is quite curious about new tecnologies. She always asks her grandchildren to show her videos on their mobile phones when they visit. One day, Li started taking pictures of herself using the selfie stick her grandchild had brought.

"My mon is more fashionable than I am!" Luo remarked.

Li's health has always been good, said Luo, adding that she even did farm work in her nineties, despite the family's opposition. Luo explained that his mother worked hard raising her children, so she is not used to an idle lifestyle.

The secret to Li's longevity is her healthy lifestyle, according to Luo, who explained that his mother usually has two light meals per day, consisting of vegetables that she grows herself. In addition, she always goes to sleep at 9:00 p.m. and get up at 9:00 a.m., leading a disciplined and well-rested life.
