A short-distance navy defense system drew crowds at the Zhuhai air show. The system can be applied to offshore or reef stereoscopic defense. It contains sub-systems for exploring and commanding weapons systems, which enables it to both explore and attack targets in the air, on the water and underwater. The weapon can be adapted to individual customers' requirements, and can accomodate various active weapons. Other weapons on display included a remote weapons station, a CS/AR1 55mm anti-frogman rocket launcher system and a CS/LK4 short-distance remote control defense weapons system.

Domestic and foreign media at the event paid particular attention to how China deploys weapons in the South China Sea.
