Photos of an especially industrious doctor circulating on WeChat have touched the hearts of many citizens. On Oct. 29, a WeChat user in Binhai County, Jiangsu province uploaded four photos along with a message: "Thank you for saving my father while you were receiving an intravenous infusion."

The photos show a male doctor wearing a pair of black-rimmed glasses and writing instructions for a patient, explaining treatment to the patient's family. Beside him is an iron IV rack on which a bag of fluid is hung. The doctor is a physician at Binhai County People's Hospital.

A reporter contacted Liu Haifeng, the man who posted the photos. He told the reporter that his critically ill father was taken to Binhai County People's Hospital at around 7 p.m. on Oct. 28. After he was admitted into the intensive care unit, Liu saw a male doctor sitting at a desk reading medical records. After Liu described his father's condition to the doctor, the doctor immediately got up to help, undeterred by the rack and IV bag to which he was still attached.
