
A video circulates on Chines social media recently has triggered massive outrage. In the surveillance camera footage, a man was seen beating a woman repeatedly in an elevator, while the victim’s kid was right beside her, crying. The incident took place on October 12, 2016, in Langfang, central China’s Hebei province.
As the man fled, the woman called the police.
The woman, surnamed Li, told the police that she asked the man to stop smoking in the elevator for the sake of the child. The man then started thrashing her.
“Ever since I was born, I have never seen such savage and inhumane thug,” said Ms. Li.
Local police are still hunting the man.
