The optimistic traveller thinks the fact that they have shared so many adventures has made their bond even more unbreakable.
He said: 'It's been one heck of an adventure. Kahlua's done more traveling that most humans I know and we've only just started to scratch the surface.
'I may be biased but I think she is the perfect adventure dog. She's always down to join me and every new escapade brings us closer together.
'She inspires me to live life to the fullest. It became a goal of mine to try and give her the most exciting life possible.
'I had never been someone to hike a mountain but Kahlua's love to be outside rubbed off on me and now I can't imagine not being outdoors.'
Kahlua's owner explains that his life 'feels 1,000 times different. Every day is an adventure with something new around every corner'
