Haier Group Has Business Helicopter
The Qingdao-based Haier Group, China's leading electrical appliance manufacturer, has bought from Europe a business helicopter for its employees.
The EC-135 helicopter, named Haier, will make its debut flight. It can fly to a maximum range of 620 km, at the highest speed of 256 km per hour. It can seat five passengers in addition to the driver.
According to executives of the Haier Group, the use of helicopter is designed to shorten the length of time needed by domestic and foreign clients and company managers in business travel.
Preliminary statistics show that every year the group receives nearly 10,000 foreign clients and suppliers for business talks, as well as large numbers of marketing personnel from big department stores in 33 Chinese cities.
