Haier Joined World Design Organization
Since Haier put out its first complete set of web-controlled household electronic appliances on the world market, it has by its leading, original and unique designs attracted the attention of the World Design Organization (WDO). This has won Haier great fame as a Chinese manufacturer to be admitted into WDO. Recently, the initiation ceremony was held at Haier Group in Qingdao.
WDO consists of World Plane Design Association, World Industry Design Association, World Chamber Design Association and Barcelona Design Center. With its headquarters based in Spain, WDO makes its aim to see to it that fine living environment and comfort of life are created and new industrial designs developed.
According to WDO ruling, all WDO member companies must be leading name-brand producers pioneering world industrial design and capable for localized design and production in furthering public interest and environmental protection and finally lead and boost the growth of industrial design in their homeland.
