Galanz Microwave Oven Enjoys 30% Global Market Share
It's learned from a forum on the export of the country's major electro-machinery enterprises that microwave ovens produced by the Galanz Group of Guangdong Province not only share 70 percent of the domestic market but also 30 percent of the global microwave oven market as they are exported to more than 80 countries and regions.
Galanz is one of the world's leading manufacturers and suppliers of microwave ovens with an annual production capacity of 15 million units. In 1999, Galanz registered an output value of 3 billion yuan, paid 0.31-billion-yuan tax and got a total US$0.106 billion from exports. Its exports this year are expected to reach US$150 million, making Galanz one of the enterprises of home appliances with the largest products export and the strongest competitiveness in the international market. It's reported that Galanz has achieved a 1:1 ratio of internal and external sales of microwave ovens and the Group is expanding the international market, striving to lift the ratio to 1:2, thereby building up its international brand-name position, and at the same time reducing the enterprise's operational risk and expanding its strength.
