Air France Aircraft Slides off Runway in Shanghai, None Hurt

An Air France aircraft with 191 passengers aboard slid off the runaway during take-off at the Hongqiao International Airport in Shanghai Thursday, causing no injuries.

The accident took place at noon, when flight AF111, an Airbus-340, slid away from the runway and stopped with its front wheel stuck in the lawn alongside the runway.

The airport has been closed after the accident occurred. The aircraft is yet to be dragged away from the lawn.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
