Non-Communist Party To Help Develop China's Western Regions
One of China's non-Communist parties Wednesday called on its members to contribute more to the development of the country's vast western regions.
The three-day meeting of the Central Committee of the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party (CPWDP) opened today, with its leader encouraging party members to vigorously participate in developing China's western regions.
"Developing China's west has far-reaching historic significance," said Jiang Zhenghua, president of CPWDP, one of the eight non-Communist parties.
Members of the CPWDP mainly work in areas of medicine, education, and science.
